In response to increasing COVID-19 cases and the resulting strain on health care capacity, Dr. Bonnie Henry issued a province-wide order that is effective until further notice.  The order includes restrictions on the following:

Gathering Restrictions – Indoor and outdoor gatherings of any size are prohibited, and in-person and drive-in worship services are not allowed. As well, social gatherings of any size with anyone other than your immediate household are not allowed.

Summerland Alliance is not permitted to host worship services, board meetings, small groups, or the University students. All gatherings move back online.

Weddings, Funerals, and Baptisms – These are allowed to take place, but are restricted to a limit of 10 people, including the officiant. Receptions of any size or at any location are not allowed.

Wearing Masks – Masks are now mandatory in all public indoor settings and workplaces unless you are eating or drinking.

Workplaces – Workplaces are asked to revisit their COVID-19 safety plans and ensure that they are being implemented. As well, all office-based employers have been asked to support employees working from home until at least the new year. The offices at Summerland Alliance are closed and we will work from home.

Sermons & Children’s Features – We will continue to post Sermons and Children’s Features on Friday of each week on Facebook and YouTube. You can find us on both platforms by searching Summerland Alliance Church. Sermons will once again be made available on Facebook and YouTube by 10:00 am Sunday until further notice.

Supporting Summerland AllianceGiving can continue by e-transfers or by contacting Bruce Fidler to arrange to drop off your donation. You can reach Bruce by phoning (250) 494-9975. Please leave a message if he is not able to answer. Thank you for continually supporting the work and mission of Summerland Alliance.

Contacts – Bruce Fidler and Pastor Rick are available by phone or email during our usual office hours. Our prayer chain is always available. Contact Elaine Hutchinson who is our Prayer Chain Coordinator.

If you have any questions or comments, or if you need more information please let us know.

Though the building may be closed, the church is never.  Stay safe.  Take care of yourselves.  You are loved more than you can imagine!  We miss you.  You matter!             To God. To us. Love and Hugs!  Psalm 23.
